This Privacy Policy describes how BookmarkVault ("the Extension", "we", "our") handles your information when you use our Chrome browser extension.
BookmarkVault collects only the data strictly necessary to provide its core functionality:
We do not operate any server. Your bookmark data is stored:
appDataFolder, readable only by BookmarkVault.Your bookmarks and reminders belong to you. You can revoke our access at any time via your Google Account permissions.
BookmarkVault uses the Google Calendar API solely to create reminder events when you explicitly request them via the "Remind me" feature on a bookmark.
Calendar reminders include the bookmark title, URL, your optional note, and the date/time you set. They appear in your primary Google Calendar with a popup reminder 10 minutes before, and an email reminder 1 hour before.
BookmarkVault uses the following Google APIs strictly for the functionality you authorize:
drive.appdata): To save and sync your bookmarks file in your private appDataFolder.calendar.events): To create reminder events you explicitly request.userinfo.email): To authenticate you securely and display your email.Google's own privacy policy applies to data processed by these services: policies.google.com/privacy.
BookmarkVault's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You have the following rights at any time:
appDataFolder. Calendar reminders are in your Calendar.appDataFolder will be permanently deleted by Google.BookmarkVault is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the Extension or Chrome Web Store listing.
